BURLINGTON — A man wearing a mask escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash from Hix Insurance on North Church Street this morning.
Burlington police said no weapons were used during the incident at 1811 N. Church St., but the clerk was restrained during the robbery. Police did not identify the employee.
Police described the suspect as a black man between 25 and 35 years old who stands 6 feet tall and has a thin build. He wore a black sweat shirt, black athletic pants with a white stripe down the legs, white athletic shoes and a black baseball cap with a white D on front. The suspect also wore a black mask covering the lower part of his face and prescription glasses.
He was last seen walking toward a nearby McDonald's.
