Koren Rebecca Borchers and Anthony Chad Austin were united in marriage Saturday, June 13, 2009, at Colonial Baptist Church, Cary, N.C. Pastor Brad Harbough officiated. Following the ceremony, the reception was held at Colonial Baptist Church. On Friday evening, the parents of the groom hosted the rehearsal dinner.
The bride is the daughter of the Rev. Kenneth and Elizabeth Borchers of Keene, NH. She is a graduate of Plymouth Regional High School in Plymouth, NH and Gordon College where she earned a degree in Spanish. She is a Spanish Teacher with the Johnston County Schools.
The groom is the son of A.C. and Mary Austin of Reidsville. He is the grandson of Lossie Austin. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Journalism and Mass Communication. He is employed by SAS Institute.
The bride was attended by her sister, Rachel Borchers of Bangor, ME, as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kristen Koepfer of Pittsburgh, PA, cousin of the bride, Jennifer Philip of Cary and Audrey Steiner of Morrisville.
The groom chose his father, A.C. Austin, as best man. Groomsmen were Scott Turner of Atlanta, GA and Ken Vogt of Greensboro. Ushers were Ashton Hobbs of Reidsville, Darrel Rebb of Summerfield, Brian Stone of Madison and Eric Wilson of Concord.
The guest book attendants was Whitney Hawkins of Browns Summit. Also in attendance were special friends of the bride, Raymond and Violet Hopkins of Littleton, NH.
The couple spent their honeymoon in the Caribbean and are now residing in Raleigh.
