WINSTON-SALEM — A pedestrian found lying in a parking lot was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene early this morning, police said.
At 2:18 a.m. Saturday, Winston-Salem police officers responded to a reported hit-and-run in the parking lot of 325 Polo Road.
The victim was taken to Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center and was in serious condition as of early Saturday morning, police said.
The person's identity was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
