Why have you chosen to run for this office? I enjoy living in Jamestown and want to give back to the community.

Key qualifications you would bring to the job: I think my key qualifications are leadership and a desire to be involved.

Family: Wife, Joyce; two married daughters, Kimberly and Amanda; two sons-in-law, Mike and Rob; five grandchildren, Wilson, Elizabeth, Chase, Curtis and Benjamin.

What distinguishes you most from your opponents? N/A (Volz is the only mayor candidate.)

Please list the top three issues in Jamestown and your stances on those issues:

1. Promote Jamestown as a good place to live.
2. Work closely with the Guilford County Schools system to ensure the students of Jamestown receive the best possible education.
3. Continue to increase the quality of life in Jamestown, maintaining our present parks and developing a new park and providing more sidewalks.

If you were to give Jamestown a letter grade on its effectiveness in managing growth, what would it be? A

What vote or decision of the current council would you overturn? Why do you disagree with the decision? I believe our current council has done an excellent job and there is nothing I would overturn.
