EDEN – A school bus carrying students home from Morehead High and Holmes Middle schools in Eden was struck this afternoon by a BB or shotgun pellet.

The Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office said that just before 4 p.m., the bus No. 20 was taking students home near Long Hook Road and Dan River Church Road when something struck a left back window.

The driver drove the bus to a safe location and deputies were called to that location and it appears if the bus was struck by a pellet or BB. No injuries were reported, the sheriff's office said.

A similar incident was reported Monday in Guilford County regarding a bus carrying home students from the Early College along Dolley Madison Road, according to a report from WFMY.
