BURLINGTON — Police have arrested two Burlington men and named a third suspect in connection with a robbery early Tuesday.
Martrell Jeffries, 20, of 517 S. Ireland St. was charged with armed robbery, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and larceny. He is in Alamance County jail under a $250,000 bond.
Police also arrested Trenton Bilal Enoch, 16, of 421 Hatch St. He was charged with armed robbery and assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He is in jail under a $200,000 bond.
Burlington police said Antonio Rings was walking on Stout Street near Cates Avenue at about 1:19 a.m. Tuesday when three men approached him. All three men had handguns and hit Rings on the head and body. They took an undisclosed amount of cash before driving away a 1990s navy blue, four-door sedan.
Paramedics treated Rings at the scene for undisclosed injuries, but police said he declined to go to a hospital.
Police have identified a third suspect: 18-year-old Devin Tyrell Michael Knight of 231 Bidney Ave.
