Greensboro police identified the shooting victim as Jermaine Bennett Tinsley. Police did not say where he lived.

Police said they were called to the LandMark Inn at 2838 S. Elm-Eugene St. at 1:55 a.m. Tuesday to investigate a report of shots fired. When officers arrived, they discovered Tinsley on a walkway in front of Building No. 3.
