GREENSBORO -- Freshman Seth Adams came off the bench to throw four touchdown passes Saturday as Greensboro rallied from a 17-0 deficit to win 27-24 at Ferrum on Saturday.

Adams was 18-for-30 passing for 300 yards, four TDs and no interceptions.

The win was the first ever for The Pride (3-3, 1-2 USA South) at Ferrum (3-3, 1-2). Greensboro trails in the series 11-2.

"We were going to play both quarterbacks and go with the hot hand," Greensboro coach Dr. Randy Hunt said. "Obviously, (Adams) had the hot hand and we couldn't take him out."

A Mike Vann 35-yard reception from Matt Dobson gave Ferrum a 17-0 lead with 13:10 left in the half.

At that point, the Pride scored 27 straight points. Adams connected with tight end Brandon Richardson on a 73-yard TD.

Then, with three seconds left in the half, Adams found Mykel Searcy for a 38-yard TD and the score was 17-14.

Greensboro took the leadwhen Adams completed a 51-yard TD pass to Nathan Scott to go ahead 20-17 with 4 minutes left in the third quarter.

Scott and Adams connected again in the fourth for an 18-yard TD pass to make it 27-17 with 8:56 remaining.
