Robert Johnson, son of NASCAR Hall Of Fame inductee Junior Johnson, will compete in his first Late Model Stock event at Caraway Speedway on Sunday in Asheboro. The 16-year-old rookie has won five Sportsman events this season and is currently fifth in points.

HIGH POINT: High Point's men won the Blue Ridge Open in Boone, edging Davidson by one point. Sophomore Neal Darmody placed seventh and senior Josh Morgan took ninth to lead the Panthers. UNCG's men finished 18th. The HPU women placed eighth out of 15 teams.
