EDEN — Police charged a woman on Wednesday with stealing money from her physically disabled nephew.

Lilly Allen, 56, of 637 Lake St. was charged with exploiting a disabled adult, according to Eden police.

Police said Allen stole more than $6,000 from her nephew, Rodney Hairston, and used it for personal gain.

Allen was given Hairton's debit card to pay his bills and buy personal items for him, police said.

She was released on a $1,000 unsecured bond. She has an Oct. 28 court date.
