GREENSBORO -- Michael Caparaso became Greensboro College's all-time leader in passing yardage Saturday, but the Pride fell to N.C. Wesleyan, 35-13, in a USA South football game at Jamieson Stadium.

Bryan Haywood and Laqwan Brodie scored two touchdowns each for Wesleyan (3-2, 2-0), which had 528 yards of total offense.

Haywood put the Bishops on the scoreboard with a 96-yard touchdown run 1 minute, 52 seconds into the game. Later in the quarter, Teron Bush ran 8 yards for a score, as Wesleyan built a 14-0 halftime lead.

After forcing a punt on the first possession of the third quarter, Greensboro put together its best drive of the day. Caparaso capped the 10-play, 76-yard march with a 16-yard TD pass to Antwan Thorpe on a corner pattern.

Caparaso was 12-of-25 for 104 yards and has 4,496 yards passing for his career. That total moved him past Wes Wilder (1997-01).

Wesleyan responded with a 10-play, 68--yard scoring drive. Bo Jordan (26-for-33, 358 yards) capped it with a 9-yard pass to Brodie.

The Pride's second touchdown came with no time left on the clock when Seth Adams (7-for-15, 79 yards) found Jorge Espinosa for an 18-yard touchdown pass.

"N.C. Wesleyan is good football team -- maybe the best we've played this year," said Pride coach Randy Hunt. "But we made some mistakes today and we need to learn from them."
