Greensboro man charged in sister's slaying
GREENSBORO — Police charged a man with first-degree murder Sunday after his sister was found dead in her apartment on East Florida Street.
Detectives were still investigating the death of Mary Ferrell Jones, 55, of 317-A E. Florida St., after she was found late Saturday or early Sunday morning, police said.
Her brother, Connell Ferrell, 42, is charged in her death, although police provided no motive or details about the cause of death.
Ferrell, who lived at the same address, remains in the Guilford County jail without bond. Police arrested him at the apartment shortly before 10 a.m. Sunday.
