The Champs Sports Bowl has signed a new agreement with the ACC that extends the relationship with the conference through 2013 and improves the bowl’s selection of teams from the conference.
The deal means the ACC’s second pick after the BCS selection will come to Orlando beginning in 2010 to play against the top non-BCS team from the Big East or Notre Dame.
“Orlando is a great destination and the hospitality that has been extended to our student-athletes and fans has left very positive and memorable impressions,” said ACC Commissioner John Swofford.
In its current cycle, the Champs Sports Bowl features the ACC’s fourth pick and the Big Ten’s fourth or fifth pick.
