The Community Sustainability Council will hold more public meetings next week to hear advice on how it should spend more than $2.5 million in energy-related stimulus funds.

The meetings will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. and 6:30 to 8 p.m. Oct. 13 in the Nussbaum Room of the Central Library, 219 N. Church St. Free parking is available in the Church Street parking deck.

The City Council-appointed advisory group is working to narrow down a long list of proposals and submit the application to the U.S. Department of Energy by Dec. 3.

The federal grant would help pay for projects that would reduce the city's fossil fuel use and greenhouse gas emissions.
