WENTWORTH – Seven people have been arrested and charged in connection with several break-ins and larcenies among three counties.
About a month ago, detectives received information that led them to a group of people breaking into homes and stealing electronics, lawn equipment and four-wheelers, according to a Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office news release.
Many of the items were recovered. The items were stolen from homes in Rockingham, Caswell and Guilford counties.
Charged were: James Edward Frith, 34, of 1421 Fieldcrest Road, Apt. D ; Daniel Wayne Overby, 28, of 305 S. Bethel St.; Brandon James Pica, 25, of 149 Windmill Drive; Elizabeth Cox Shoemaker, 34, of 203 Buttercup Road; Matthew Scott Howell, 30, of 318 Jackson St.; and Jerry Robert Craddock Jr., 26, of 1421 Fieldcrest Road Apt. J, all of Eden.
Also arrested was Brandon Shaun Stevens, 28, of 102 Tweety Bird Lane in Reidsville.
All face varying counts of breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods.
Deputies said a further investigation will determine charges against suspects buying items from the group.
