Greensboro voters will go to the polls today to narrow the fields of candidates for the City Council.
On the ballot: 27 candidates in races for three at-large seats and seats in Districts 1, 2, 3 and 4.
The field will be cut to the top six vote-getters in the at-large race and top two in the districts for the Nov. 3 election.
Voters in Pleasant Garden will select mayoral and Town Council finalists. About 240 Guilford County voters will take part in Burlington City Council voting. And in Reidsville, this is the main election, so voters will select a mayor and two new at-large City Council members.

About the council ...
Tonight’s scheduled City Council meeting is canceled. The council will meet again Oct. 20.
Rockingham precinct
Rockingham County residents who live within the Southeast Precinct and vote at Williamsburg Elementary School must vote at the Reidsville YMCA. Because the precinct has only 12 registered voters who live within the city limits, the board of elections will not open it Election Day.
