Budget approval on school board agenda

What: Guilford County Board of Education meeting

When: 6 p.m. today

Where: Board Room of the administrative office, 712 N. Eugene St., Greensboro.

On TV: Guilford County Schools Board of Education meetings are broadcast live on GCS Cable Channel 2 with replays aired the next day at 1 and 7 p.m. and the Saturday after the meeting at 1 p.m.

What’s going on? Board members are scheduled to discuss and review several issues, including:

  • Approval of the 2009-10 budget. The board has approved the budget in various forms but this resolution incorporates adjustments made up to this point.
  • Naming the Northeast High gym the John Primm Gymnasium.
  • An update on the teacher incentive pay program for math teachers known as Cumulative Effect.
  • An update on indoor air quality work under way at Oak Ridge Elementary.

Want to be heard? Those wishing to address the Board of Education should call 370-8100 before 5 p.m. or be at the meeting between 5:45 and 6 p.m. Sign-up sheets may also be filled out before board meetings.
