(Updated Saturday, October 3 - 12:22 am)

Site: Southern Alamance H.S., Graham

Why Dudley won: The Panthers took a quick 14-0 lead, surrendered a few big plays to let the Patriots tie it, then opened up a 30-14 lead at the half and shut out Southern the rest of the way. J.R. Peterson had three touchdowns, Mycah Gaylord also scored on the ground and David Amerson had a punt return touchdown for the Panthers.

Peterson and Gaylord both finished with more than 100 yards rushing.

“We played real well on the interior line on both sides of the ball,” Dudley head coach Steve Davis said. “We thought we could run it on them, and our line had a real good game.”

Records: Dudley 6-1, 2-0; Southern Alamance 0-5-1, 0-1.
