Editor's Note: The man killed in the crash was James David Dyson. An earlier version of this article had an incorrect name.

A 40-year-old man died in a one car accident Sunday night in Davidson County.

Trooper H.E. Hall reported that James David Dyson of Linwood was driving a 1994 Toyota Celica southbound on N.C. 150, 3 miles south of U.S. 64, at 7:10 p.m. Hall said a witness reported that the vehicle was weaving before it hit a telephone electrical box and then ran into the center garage bay of the Tyro Volunteer Fire Department at 4645 S. N.C. 150, striking two parked fire trucks.

Hall said the vehicle was not speeding and it appears that Dyson may have been suffering from a medical condition.

Tyro firefighters responded to the scene. Dyson was transported to the Lexington Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

No firefighters were injured.
