The article title should read:
Rate for those eligible for Unemployment benefits drop slightly
This would be a more true statement. Unemployment continues to rise. The unemployment figure does not include those who have used up all their unemployment benefits but are still out of work.
You can try to sugar coat the little messiah's "stimulus" spending all you want, but the facts tell a more accurate story.

I believe you're right Beach, Drudge posted a story that nationally the rate was at 16%. I believe alot of people have simply stopped looking and are out of the system. When the Liberal media wants to exaggerate, they can even use homeless people to prop up their side. I haven't seen a homeless story in a while.

Actually, the true unemployment rate is 107%. No one in the United States has a job, and 7% of Americans don't have two jobs.

Right: Twenty-eight years of "voodoo economics" is Obama's fault.

The New York Post reported this morning in the September 27th edition that among 16 to 24 the unemployment rate was 52.2%. Our illegal friends might have something to do with this.

I'd like to feel cheered by these numbers a little, but here in Rockingham County, I have a feeling lots of unemployed folks either ran out of UI or ran out of the county entirely. There are so many more empty homes now than this time last year, I can't help but think people are just leaving us in droves, hoping to find work somewhere else. If that's the case, I hope they've been luckier wherever they ended up.

With unemployment so high in North Carolina so many are out of work and have lost benefits. There is a bill just passed by the House called, HR3548. The senate now has to pass it, then Obama sign it to get people 13 more weeks who have exhausted their benefits. I dont understand why our politicians dont fight and get this passed. Also, Rep Virginia Foxx is the only one who voted against it so I hope everyone in her district will vote her SORRY ASS OUT at the next election!
