(Updated 8:06 am)

There are a lot of events taking place in Rockingham County this weekend.

It’s election season, so the Reidsville Chamber of Commerce will hold a candidates forum tonight to help you make a decision on the right candidate for the job. Come out and see where the candidates for mayor and the City Council stand on issues.

It’s also Big Sweep Week in Rockingham County from Saturday through next Saturday. This is a great community service project for any organization, individual or club. Take part, and help clean up our county.

Several annual fall events are planned, including the Reidsville Woman’s Club Fall Market on Friday and Saturday at Zion Baptist Church. The theme this year is “Home Made and Home Grown.” And yes, lunch will be served on Friday and fish and ribs will be available Saturday.

Let’s not forget the annual Stoneville Rotary Fall Festival on Saturday with Bossy Cow Bingo, a baby contest and a car show. Enjoy a day of food, music, crafts and more.
