GREENSBORO — In preparation for the 2009 City Council election, the News & Record sent candidates a list of questions, hoping to pinpoint why they want to led Greensboro.

The News & Record questions range from fiscal issues to future goals.

Thank you for providing this good information to voters. It is an excellent format.

HOWEVER - I was surprised that Joel Landau had not submitted answers to your questionnaire. On contacting him I learned that he had indeed submitted the answers (before the deadline), just that you had not posted it. Mr. Landau even sent me a copy of his completed questionnaire.

This is not fair to voters or to Joel Landau! Please get his questionnaire posted!

Joel Landau did submit answers. Due to a technical problem on Friday, we were not able to upload it until MOnday. It is online now.

This was a brief intro to the candidates, their backgrounds, experience and agendas. Please remember the many senior citizens who continue to subscribe to the written newspaper and rely on it as their primary information source. A good number of them do not have access to or knowledge of the internet.
