HIGH POINT – The High Point Police Department will hold its annual Community Day Celebration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
The event is designed to introduce residents to the officers who serve the community and to give them a better sense of what the police department does.
Residents will have the opportunity to tour the police department, examine police equipment and talk with officers.
There will also be demonstrations by the High Point Police Tactical Team, K-9 Unit and of the department’s DWI simulator.
The event will feature food, music, a dunking booth for Chief Jim Fealy, cloggers and a jump house for kids.
Lunch is free with the donation of a canned food item per person.
The event will be held at High Point Police Department headquarters at 1009 Leonard Ave. in High Point.
