HIGH POINT – Police are looking for a man accused of robbing a bank in High Point on Wednesday morning.
At about 11:13 a.m., police say a man entered the High Point Bank and Trust Company at 2758 S. Main St., threatened to use a weapon and robbed the bank of an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was seen or displayed.
The suspect fled on foot across S. Main Street toward Burger King. He was seen getting into a white vehicle on Bellemeade Street and was last seen heading toward E. Springfield Road.
The suspect is described as a white man with blue eyes, dark hair and acne scars or pockmarks on face. He was wearing an off-white baseball cap, a bandana covering his face and a brown and blue plaid shirt.
Anyone who recognizes the suspect or knows information about the robbery is asked to contact High Point Crime Stoppers at 889-4000.
