Pleasant Garden Fire Department to host meet and greet
Pleasant Garden Fire Department will host a candidate meet and greet 3 p.m. Sunday at the fire hall, 4814 Pleasant Garden Road.
Fire Chief Tommy Cole said all seven candidates have confirmed attendance.
Candidates for mayor are Anne Hice, current mayor, Rick Wallace, current council member and former mayor, and Bill Greene.
There are four candidates for one open seat on council — Alan Marshall, Carla Strickland, Ron Surgeon and Henry Tripp.
The event will start with speeches by the candidates. Afterwards, voters can approach candidates to ask questions or collect literature.
Cole said once the primaries are held Oct. 6, the fire department will host a debate.
