WINSTON-SALEM — 88.5 WFDD, the public radio station licensed to Wake Forest University, will condense its normal 10-day pledge drive into one day: Oct. 7.
The station, which serves 32 counties in northwest North Carolina and southern Virginia, said it is following a model used successfully by other stations across the country. The change will return uninterrupted programming to listeners more quickly, while still raising essential funds, the station stated in a news release.
The goal for the WFDD fall drive is 1,800 pledges.
