JAMESTOWN — A deputy at Ragsdale High School used a stun gun today to get a combative female student subdued.

A 15-year-old girl was threatening two faculty members at Ragsdale about 9 a.m. today, Sheriff BJ Barnes said in a news release. As the school resource tried to arrest the student, she began assaulting the officer.

The deputy, who was not identified, used his Taser to gain control. The student was checked by EMS and released. She was transported to the Juvenile Court System, Barnes said.

The girl's name was not released because of her age.
