If you live in Greensboro or Pleasant Garden and can’t wait to vote in your municipal primary, now’s your time. Early voting for races in those municipalities will begin Thursday. Likewise for about 240 registered voters in Guilford County who live within Burlington’s city limits.
If you can wait, the primary is Oct. 6.
ON THE BALLOT
In Greensboro, primaries for City Council are set for the at-large race and in districts 1, 2, 3 and 4. Pleasant Garden voters will narrow the field for mayor and Town Council. Burlington has a primary for its City Council. Sample ballots and the lists of candidates can be found at the Guilford County Board of Elections site.
EARLY VOTING SCHEDULE
8 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday-Friday, Sept. 21-25, Sept. 28-Oct. 2.
Locations: 301 W. Market St., Greensboro, and 505 E. Green Dr., High Point.
10 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 3.
Location: 301 W. Market St., Greensboro.
REGISTRATION
If you missed the registration deadline, you can still register at an early-voting location. You’ll need proof of identification, such as driver’s license, government document or a bill.
The registration deadline for the general election is Oct. 9, but registration will also be available at early-voting sites.

The general election is Nov. 3. Early voting will begin Oct. 15.
