UNCG sets another enrollment record
GREENSBORO — UNCG has enrolled a record number of undergraduates for the ninth straight year.
The university said 14,792 undergraduates have enrolled for the fall semester. That's a 10 percent increase over the 13,453 students who enrolled last fall.
The numbers include 2,529 freshmen and 1,569 transfers from other universities.
UNCG also topped its three-year-old graduate student enrollment mark. This year, the university has 3,830 graduate students; the previous high was 3,807 in fall 2006.
The university’s combined enrollment for fall 2009 is 18,622 students, up 9.35 percent over fall 2008.
Including online distance learners and iSchool participants, UNCG’s total fall enrollment is 21,400 students.
