Update: One dead in High Point wreck

HIGH POINT — A man was killed Monday night in a single-car crash at Westchester Drive and Homestead Avenue.
High Point police this morning identified the victim as Joseph Steven Varga of High Point. Police did not give his age.
Police said Varga's vehicle was traveling north on Westchester Drive toward North Main Street when it crossed into southbound traffic, left the road and hit a utility pole at a high speed.
Varga, the vehicle's only occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say they are still investigating what caused the wreck.
