Piedmont Triad International Airport hopes that its promotion of the lowest fare of the day will take off with passengers looking to save some bucks.
The airport announced Wednesday that it's launching a new digital advertising campaign promoting PTI's lowest fare.
Each weekday, the airport, in partnership with Eden Travel Consultants, will post the fare on PTI's Web site and on a digital billboard on Business 40 in Winston-Salem.
The low fares will feature business and leisure destinations.
The fare will appear for only one day, but it may be valid for longer periods.
“We believe that people will be surprised at the number of low fares that are available from PTI,” Henry Isaacson, Airport Authority chairman, said in a press release.
“We know that we are at somewhat of a disadvantage with airports that have several low-fare carriers, but we think people will be surprised how often our fares are competitive and sometimes much lower on selected flights than at other airports in the state."
Not all of the newspaper's content appears online.
