Mother, son arrested at Morehead High

EDEN — Police charged a woman and her son with disorderly conduct Tuesday at Morehead High School.
Brandon Jamar Patrick, 16, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct for cursing and shouting obscenities at school staff members and the resource officer, according to Eden Police.
Police said his mother, 35-year-old Laquita Yvette Patrick, also was charged with disorderly conduct after she cursed at staff members. Police say she tried to pull her son away from the officer, and as she did so, assaulted the officer by pushing him and grabbing his hand.
Brandon Patrick is also charged with resist, obstruct and delay of a law enforcement officer, police said. The investigation continues, and additional charges are pending.
Mother and son were released on $1,000 unsecured bonds and have a Sept. 21 court date.
