GREENSBORO — Small businesses in Guilford County could receive county tax dollars when they add property value to their business under a plan the County Commissioners will discuss Thursday.

Some legal questions have been asked and are likely to be talked about in a 1 p.m. work session Thursday in the Old Guilford County Courthouse, 301 E. Market St.

The meeting is open to the public.

“I’m hoping that lawyers have already hashed that out,” commissioners Chairman Melvin “Skip” Alston said Wednesday.

Commissioners also will hold a closed session to discuss offering incentives to an undisclosed business.
