Woman flees from attacker in Greensboro who maced her
GREENSBORO — A 19-year-old woman told police someone maced her after she refused to get in his truck Friday night but was able to flee.
The woman, whom Greensboro police did not identify, said she was walking west on Elmsley Drive near Walmart about 8 p.m. when someone tried to get her into his truck.
When she refused, he exited his dark-color Dodge pickup and chased her.
She ran down Kallamdale Drive, where he caught up with her and maced her, police said.
A struggle ensued, and the victim was able to get the mace away from him. She sprayed him and he ran back to his truck and drove away in an unknown direction.
Police had not provided information including the suspect's possible age, build, height and other details as of early Saturday morning.
Police ask those with information to call Crimestoppers at 373-1000.
