Man, 19, drowns in Winston-Salem pool

WINSTON-SALEM — A young man drowned in a pool Friday at the Plantation Place Apartments at 3621 Cash Drive in Winston-Salem.
Vicente Alberto Leal, 19, was pronounced dead at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center after he was pulled from the pool.
Officers say they responded to the complex after apartment residents advised that Leal was swimming in the pool and was drowning. Residents pulled Leal from the pool and performed CPR before he was taken to the hospital.
