Haas takes first-round lead

GREENSBORO (AP) — Bill Haas has moved into the lead after one round at the rainy Wyndham Championship.

Haas had five birdies while finishing his career-best 62 early today to take a two-stroke lead over Brandt Snedeker, Chez Reavie and Ryan Moore at the PGA Tour's final event before the playoffs.

On Thursday, Haas was at 4 under through 10 holes when play was halted because of darkness with roughly half the field still on the course at Sedgefield Country Club in Greensboro, N.C.

That came after play was delayed for roughly four hours in the mid-afternoon because of lightning and heavy rain. That led PGA Tour official Mark Russell to predict that Friday's play would become "an all-day affair."
