A Powerball ticket sold in Greensboro matched all five white balls drawn Wednesday night and is worth $200,000.
The ticket was sold at Tru Buy at 600 S. Regional Road in Greensboro, North Carolina lottery officials said today.
The winning numbers Wednesday were 14, 24, 31, 43 and 51. The Powerball was 27 and the multiplier was 5.
Nine other North Carolina tickets in last night’s drawing matched four out of five white balls plus the Powerball. Two of the nine tickets were Power Played and are worth $50,000 each since the Power Play multiplier was five. These tickets were sold in Hickory and in China Grove.
The other seven tickets that matched four out of five white balls plus the Powerball were not Power Played and are worth $10,000 each. None were sold in the Triad.
Lottery officials said Thursday a Powerball ticket sold in South Carolina matched all six numbers drawn to win the midweek jackpot worth nearly $260 million. A news conference was planned Thursday at a Columbia store where the ticket was sold.
