(Updated 3:49 pm)

Your luck may soon run out if the unclaimed Carolina Cash 5 ticket worth $168,415 is yours.

The ticket for the March 1 drawing was bought at the BP Mini Mart on North Main Street in Newport, which is in Carteret County.

It will expire if not claimed at N.C. Education Lottery headquarters by 5 p.m. Aug. 28.

The winning numbers were 3, 10, 18, 20 and 35.

If not claimed, the Lottery Act designates that half of the prize will be distributed to the Education Lottery Fund; the other half will go back into prizes for future games.

WHAT education lottery. You know that most of this lottery money does not go to education. The state uses it for there own political agendas. VERY little ever sees the education budget.
