3 more names added to Wyndham field
GREENSBORO — Justin Rose, K.J. Choi and Stuart Appleby have joined the field for next week’s Wyndham Championship at Sedgefield Country Club.
Rose is making his fourth appearance here; his best finish came in 2005, when he tied for sixth.
Choi, a seven-time PGA Tour winner, won the Triad’s PGA Tour event in 2005 when he beat Shigeki Maruyama by two strokes. He has six previous appearances here and is second on the tournament’s all-time money winners list with $1,307,676.18.
Appleby will be making his seventh Wyndham Championship appearance; he was last here in 2003, when he tied for 12th, his best finish in this event.
The Wyndham Championship is Aug. 17-23.
