Avenue Restaurant and Bar is set to open Aug. 14.
The upscale restaurant is a centerpiece tenant on the first floor of the Center Pointe, Roy Carroll's condominium project created in the old Wachovia building at North Elm Street and Friendly Avenue. The restaurant will be operated with chef Mitchell Nicks.
The restaurant has an open view of a busy intersection and a chic, clean ambiance with an equally clean menu of items like Seared Ahi Tuna and Avocado, Truffled Potato and Parmesan Pierogi, Wine Poached Shellfish and locally raised beef Rib Eye. Dinner items come in large and small portions
A mix and match bistro menu includes selections of fresh beef and fish with sauces and sides. A business lunch buffet will be offered on weekdays in addition to a selection of soups, salads and sandwiches.
A late night menu will be available and a Sunday brunch is planned.
Avenue offers a global wine list of over a 100 selections housed in climate controlled showcase and a full bar with a selection of signature martinis.
