Obama, Perdue voter regrets decision now

If I knew then what I know now, President Obama and Gov. Perdue would not have gotten my vote. Since Perdue has taken office, it is nothing but taxes just about every day. And Obama, what can I say that everyone else isn’t finding out about him?

I will never vote Democrat again. Never.

"Obama, Perdue voter regrets decision now" (It was so much better when Shrub was in office & I miss Mike and his pretty wife too)

If I knew then what I know now, President Obama and Gov. Perdue would not have gotten my vote. Since Perdue has taken office, it is nothing but taxes just about every day.(yesh darn that constitutional requirement to balance the budget. She should have known better than to cause that recession.) And Obama, what can I say that everyone else (who watches Fox exclusively) isn’t finding out about him? (yeah Bud LIght (ugh))

I will never vote Democrat again. Never.(Never have & Never will)"

I admit that 200 words isn't generous to make a point in a ltte but Dave's letter was a waste. There are valid reasons not to like either Obama or Perdue. Except for Perdue who is constitutionally required to balance her budget recession on not & taxes, he doesn't Illuminate us as to the causes of his dissatisfaction at all. Come on Dave, try harder.

David Pulliam has probably NEVER voted for a Democrat and is too ashamed to admit he's a member of the Republican Party, and who could blame him for that. My bet is that this guy is a "birther" too! Must give him kudos for his creativity in getting a LTE published in the N&R under this guise.

You should be named something like left wing conspiracy theorist rightwingmenesis. You don't know this guy and come up with some lame excuse to his letter.

BTW, voters remorse is spreading beyond Mr. Pulliam:

You fail to define the issues that most upset you.
We live in a democracy which allows you the freedom to disagree.
Instead of a letter to the editor why don't you try an email to the President & Govenor. Tell them your concerns & offer some better solutions.
They both inherited some pretty significant problems. Help them resolve the issues.

Polls suggest you are not alone, Mr. Pulliam. Some are starting to wake up and get a whiff of the coffee.

Mr. Pulliam, how long did you buy into the "Bush's fault" line...2 months..4 months?...It's getting harder and harder for Zero to shift the blame for His lack of leadership to other people, try as He might.

My only issue with Obama is his stance on the whole Gates thing. He opened his mouth too quick. At least he made an effort to fix it.

He's only been President 7 months, and we're still dealing with fallout from the Bush administration. The recession and the "war on terror" are Bush issues. It's going to take at least another year to see what effect Obama's policies, if any, have on resolving those issues.

There's the answer to your question Neo, not 2 or 4 months. One year plus 7 months, at least, according to Panacea.

Mr. danagain, did you really believe President Obama was responsible for the recession begun over a year before he took office? Are you and Mr. neocon related?

danagain

August 2, 2009 - 7:34 pm EDT

Frankly I don't think presidents are personally responsible for every turn of the economy,There are too many other factors, especially in a global economy. However they get credit when the economy is good and blame when it is bad.

Neo and I are 4th cousins twice removed.

panacea, the congress has been democrat controlled for two years. theres this term,"legislative branch", read up on it. and the war on terror is a bush issue? theres families of 3000 dead citizens in new york who probally think otherwise. now, as far as the coming year? russia is laughing at us, the chinese ORDERED the fed sec. to come explain this admins. policies, iran is months from a nuke, we're backtracking in iraq, n'korea is again "shipping" around the world, and theres a full out communist blitz just south of the border. and lets not forget that pakistan is teetering on collapse as well. but a bright spot? obamas war on america is going just fine. best stock up on some beans pan, its gonna be a rough ride.

Even Fox News was forced to admit there has already been an improvement in the recession. They tried to break the news to those with ODS easy by saying the drop in the GDP was "smaller than expected" in the second quarter. But they had no choice but to report the news, however they want to spin it. While it is a small improvement, it IS AN IMPROVEMENT, a step forward.

I do agree, Panacea, it will take a wee bit longer than 7 months to make a substantial headway. After all, it took Bush eight years to make such a massive quagmire.

The economy is slowly improving ---the stock market is a leading indicator and employment will be a lagging indicator. Now you see why the $800 Billion stimulus was a cynical Democratic political handout that we'll be paying for for generations. The cyclical downturn will turn up before the stimulus package takes effect. Imagine if the Obama administration had put the payroll tax on hiatus February1st instead. As our policy cycle is longer than the election cycle incumbents are often the beneficiaries or victims of economics. But don't think for a minute that the rooster crowing at dawn is responsible for the sun coming up.

"....$800 Billion stimulus was a cynical Democratic political handout that we'll be paying for for generations"

And we won't be paying off the gargantuan bailout created by Bush and Co? What a short memory you have.

My mouth opened and my jaw dropped this morning when Chris Wallace of Foxnews did a very thoughtful piece on Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D) of Florida. It was so unbelieveable to see that on an otherwise disgusting network, but I realized that even they are subject to public backlash. That backlash began with the "birthers" and with the off the chain remarks by Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity. How long will it be before Lou Dobbs joins that network? It is the natural home for him, but will someone please let him co-host a show with Glen Beck so they can form the MI Network---Mentally ill Network.

Mr. Neocon, are you a Republican cheerleader all the time, or just a racist all the time? Maybe both, as I've seen evidence of that in other posts of yours. Did you ever attend any institution of higher learning? Just wondering, as your posts do not indicate it.

"Mr. Neocon, are you a Republican cheerleader all the time, or just a racist all the time?"

That question speaks for itself if you want to be taken seriously in future conversation. Chill out with the platitudes.

neocon

August 2, 2009 - 8:24 pm EDT

Mr. rightwingnemesis, no, I'm not a republican cheerleader all the time and I am a racist none of the time. You are constantly accusing me of this then hightailin' when I axe for clarification.

Yes I have attended a higher learnin' institution, I graduated from the 8th grade in 1966, the first in my family to do so. I am the proud owner of a 1997 year model Commodore double-wide parked in the front row. 9 more payments, and she's all mine. Got three pink flamingos welcoming my guests when they come over for a rat killin'. I married my first cousin, Sadie Mae, and we have 11 shillrun who are still at home. That Bubba is 35 now and still huntin' a job...whatchya gonna do with them yunguns? I'm hoping Zero will find sumpin' for him to do...know what I mean? (I wonder if Zero's health care plan will cover club feet and crossed eyes?)

Now that you know pretty much all there is to know about me, tell me about yourself. Have you always been so lacking in self confidence and abilities that you turn to the federal government to wet nurse you and provide for your needs? Have you always looked at a person and the first thing you see is the color of their skin and think the darker one so inept and helpless that they need people like you to 'stand up' for them, or are you a negro yourself and think the world owes you something? Your posts indicate something along these lines.
