Sedalia residents, confused about trash and recycling pickups? Clip and save this.
You have a new waste services provider.
As of July 6, Republic Waste Services started the pickup of Sedalia residents’ solid wastes.
Trash is picked up every Monday, and recycling is every other Monday. Residents should put their trash out no later than 6 a.m. Monday.
Residents may discard up to 96 gallons of bagged trash per week. Additional trash can be hauled away for an additional cost and must be arranged in the business office by 3 p.m. the day before pickup.
Trash cans are not to be put in front of mail boxes.
Republic Waste will not dispose of any hazardous waste, paint, batteries, tires, construction debris, yard debris, animal waste, ashes or aluminum cans.
Aluminum cans, cardboard and some plastics can be put in with regular recyclables.
Plastic bags, junk mail, glass dishes, mirrors, egg cartons, window panes, fast food cartons, meat trays and motor oil containers are not accepted for recycling.
