My dad is 92 years old and walks every day. About two weeks ago, he went too far in hot weather, and he became sick.
After noticing him stop in several shaded areas to rest, a gentleman working at the new Walgreens on Cornwallis became worried. He walked over to Dad and asked him if he was OK.
My dad said, “No, I am very sick, and I just can’t walk anymore.”
The man asked his supervisor if could take Dad home. The man was helping him into his truck when I saw them. I got Dad into my car and hugged and thanked the man for helping him. But I was so worried that I forgot to ask his name. I hope he sees this and knows how much I appreciate how he helped.

Our family would like to thank Robert and Francis Jordan, two great neighbors of our mom and dad. They have helped to lighten our burden and brighten our day.
Mom and Dad have been ill for the past few years. We are overwhelmed by the generosity and kindness these two have shown our family.
Francis cooks delicious meals for Dad and brings over gifts for us to take Mom, who is in assisted living.
Robert brings the newspaper to the door every morning, rain or shine. They call several times each day and walk over to make sure everything is OK.
They say a good deed is a reflection of a person’s soul. They are a treasure and make the world a better place. We know God sees what they do, and our prayer is for their kindness to find its way back to them.
