Burlington convenience store robbed

BURLINGTON — A man robbed a convenience store on West Webb Avenue on Tuesday night.

Burlington police said the robbery happened at 8:41 p.m. at the Handy Corner Grocery at 1802 W. Webb Ave. The suspect entered the store with a semi-automatic handgun and left with an undisclosed amount of cash. He drove off in a white late '90s Pontiac Grand Prix. No injuries were reported.

Police described the suspect as a black man with a mustache who stands 5-foot-10 and weighs 170 pounds. He wore a black hat, a green T-shirt and blue jeans.
