WINSTON-SALEM — Two men took money and cigarettes during a robbery of a Circle K store shortly before midnight Monday, police said.
The men, including one armed with a handgun, entered the store at 5701 University Parkway, approached the cashier and demanded money from the cash drawer, according to Winston-Salem police.
They took an undisclosed amount of money and two cartons of Newport cigarettes and fled on foot.
Police described the first suspect, who was armed, as black, 130 to 160 pounds, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, and wearing a black T-shirt with a white-collared T-shirt underneath.
He also wore black jeans, black shoes and had a white netting used as a mask to cover his mouth.
The second suspect was described as black, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet tall, 140 to 170 pounds and wearing a white hoodie-style shirt pulled over his head. He wore black shorts with white stitching down both legs and white tennis shoes with red tops.
