Three N.C. State recruits will not enroll in school in August, and reserve cornerback Dominique Ellis has decided to transfer, Wolfpack officials announced Thursday.
Coach Tom O'Brien said in a statement that the recruits are: Tyson Chandler, an offensive lineman from North Plainfield, N.J.; Raynard Randolph, a defensive tackle from Brandywine, Md., and Bryan Underwood, a wide receiver from University Heights, Ohio. No reason was given by the school.
Sources in Raleigh told the Winston-Salem Journal that all three signees remain committed to N.C. State and will likely attend prep school and enroll either in January for the second semester or will enroll in August 2010.
Ellis, from Raleigh, made 13 tackles last season as a freshman while playing in all 13 games, mostly on special teams. It is not known which schools he is considering.
