If you own a small business, consider taking advantage of a new online tool that will help you compete with the big boys.
MyeBatch.com, a search engine slated to launch Oct. 1, is designed for local businesses that want to expand their effectiveness and reach in the Triad. Sixteen local chambers of commerce are actively involved with this undertaking.
While other search engines offer general information to a wide area, MyeBatch.com, which is free for consumers, focuses its searches specifically on the 12-county Triad. It allows local businesses to effectively compete with national chains in the growing arena of e-commerce. It does this through a powerful search-engine database that produces affordable leads the vendor or service provider has the option of accepting or rejecting. Leads are $5 for chamber members and $10 for nonmembers. If a lead is rejected, there is no charge, making MyeBatch.com an affordable, pay-as-you-go marketing system.
MyeBatch.com is the product of a group of Triad-area entrepreneurs helmed by John Burton of Burlington and Tony Rector of Greensboro. Before its October launch, businesses will be able to sign up for MyeBatch.com by contacting their local chambers of commerce. In Reidsville, call 349-8481.
