GREENSBORO — Paul B. Evans has been named interim executive director of the Mental Health Association in Greensboro, the group announced Thursday.
Evans replaces Blair Benson, who resigned as executive director to become the mental health contracts administrator for the Guilford Center. She has been with the association for nine years, most recently as executive director.
Evans served for 23 years with Guilford County Mental Health, most recently as provider service director for the Guilford Center. His position was eliminated as part of the state-mandated divestiture of services by local mental health authorities.
Evans' appointment is effective July 20. The association expects to name a permanent executive director by the end of the year.
