School system names 2 interim administrators

Two current staff members have been named to interim leadership positions in Guilford County Schools.
Gwen Willis is the interim chief student services officer, and Shirley Morrison is the interim chief human resources officer.
Both positions are effective Wednesday.
Willis is serving in the position vacated by John Morris, the new superintendent of Florence County District Five in South Carolina. Willis has been the executive director of student services since 2004.
Morrison, the district’s executive director of human resources, fills the position vacated by Peggy Thompson, who retired Tuesday.
