Asheboro man charged with online child solicitation
GREENSBORO – An Asheboro man was arrested Tuesday after allegedly soliciting a child for sex on the Internet.
Deputies with the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher Allen Brown, 25, of 16 Kingsway Road, Apt. H., according to arrest warrants.
Warrants state Brown used his personal computer to solicit an underage child for sex.
Documents state Brown admitted to the crime to deputies and that his computer was seized in the execution of a search warrant.
It was not immediately clear whether Brown’s arrest came as the result of a sting operation by the sheriff’s office.
Brown was being held at the Guilford County jail in Greensboro on a $5,000 bond on Tuesday night.
